The Meade Plossl 9mm Reticle Eyepiece with Cord has a four-element design that features micrometric x-y positioning controls. An exceptional addition to your telescope accessories, the eyepiece offers a rotating upper section to obtain exact diopter adjustment. With Meade Plossl reticle telescope parts, the double crossline reticle pattern and internal illumination keep the pattern visible in a dark sky. The Meade Plossl 9mm Reticle Eyepiece with Cord is the most advanced illuminated reticle eyepiece commercially available. Locking onto the guide star is a snap with its micrometric x-y positioning controls. With the telescope part, Meade Plossl 9mm Reticle Eyepiece, all it takes is a turn of the finely-threaded controls to place the reticle's crossline pattern at precisely the desired position. The internal red-illumination assures that the lines are clearly visible against a dark night sky. The telescope accessory has a sharp, high-power imaging of the four-element, multi-coated Plossl optical system that is complemented by a rubber eyecup (foldable for eyeglass wearers) which eliminates distracting stray light from your eye. The upper section of the eyepiece rotates, allowing for precise diopter adjustment. In the Meade Instruments Plossl 9mm reticle eyepiece, the reticle pattern is a double crossline with two concentric circles. Both wireless and corded models are 1.25" O.D. Wireless Model: The Wireless Illuminated Reticle Eyepiece includes a red LED illuminator (operated from internal batteries) with variable brightness control. Batteries are included with each eyepiece. Corded Model: Same as above, but with a 6 ft cord and connector for direct plug-in to the control panels of Meade LX200 and ED/APO telescopes. Separation of the power source from the eyepiece allows you to make adjustments to reticle brightness during an exposure without risk of vibrating the telescope.
